Part-time English-speaking Governess required in London for B4 & G9, salary £40 to £50 gross per hour, live-out, start ASAP
A friendly, active family based in Kensington, London is seeking an energetic, educated, and experienced Governess to support their children’s education and development.
The young girl is due to sit her 11+ examination in 2027, and the family is looking for experienced guidance to support her academic progress over the coming years. The family also employs a nanny, with whom you will work closely as part of a supportive team.
As Governess, you will deliver structured educational support tailored to each child’s needs. This includes planning and conducting sit-down lessons in core subjects such as English and Mathematics, reinforcing key concepts taught at school, providing homework assistance, and preparing the children for assessments while keeping them engaged, motivated, and confident. Working closely with parents, teachers, and tutors, you will monitor progress and adapt lessons to support their ongoing development.
The ideal candidate is a qualified teacher with solid experience preparing children for the 11+ and working with pupils at leading London schools. You will have excellent knowledge of the British curriculum and be confident guiding both children and parents through the preparation process.
The schedule is Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm, term time only, with additional hours possible during school holidays. Occasional Saturday afternoon work will be required.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided, so it is only suitable for candidates already based in London.

Salary £40 to £50 per hour
