Rota Governess required for G10, located in Monaco. Salary £300 per day, 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, live-in, start ASAP
A private family based in Monaco is seeking an experienced and professional Rota Governess to assist with the care and educational support of their 10-year-old girl.
As a Governess, your main focus will be on the child’s education, development, and daily routine. You will support her school studies, assist with homework, and provide engaging and educational activities to further her learning and confidence. You will also encourage positive behaviour, good manners, and etiquette, while ensuring she follows a structured daily routine.
The child attends school daily. Your day will begin at 7:00 am, where you will prepare a light breakfast for the child and assist with the morning routine before she leaves for school. Your duties will resume once she returns home from school, where you will support her with homework and provide structured tutoring sessions.
A key part of this role will be preparing the child for the 11+ examination, which she will be sitting in September. You will be responsible for delivering structured academic support aligned with the 11+ framework, ensuring she is well prepared and confident ahead of the exam.
The family also employs another tutor who works in rotation. You will therefore be required to work collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring consistency in the child’s learning plan and academic preparation.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Governess or Tutor who is a qualified teacher with extensive experience working within UK schools and a strong understanding of the 11+ curriculum and examination framework. You will be organised, patient, and proactive, able to create a stimulating and supportive environment that encourages both academic progress and personal development.
The family is seeking a candidate who is professional, reliable, and able to commit long-term. You will be required to work closely with the parents and any other household staff to ensure the smooth running of the child’s daily schedule.
The working schedule will be 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, working on a rota basis with another Governess. Working upto 10 hours per day.
The role is based in Monaco, and the family may travel periodically, therefore flexibility to travel is required.

Requirements
English-speaking Governess
Qualified teacher
European passport holder
Extensive experience working within UK schools
Strong knowledge and experience of the 11+ examination framework
Experience preparing children for the 11+ exams
Educated, organised, and professional
Presentable at all times
Able to start ASAP
