A Chinese family is seeking a highly experienced, qualified and professional senior teacher/head teacher to take a lead role in overseeing the care and education of their children.

The family would like to a build a team of professional educators and care givers who are confident and capable of providing a top education.

As senior teacher/head teacher you will be responsible for managing, supporting and guiding a team of 4 teachers to work with a family whom are wishing to create a homeschooling environment for their 8 children all under 6 years old.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (PGCE/QTS) with experience of working in early years and primary settings. Experience of working in senior management or head of department within the British educational system/early year’s setting is required along with knowledge of Montessori methods, early years or Keys stage 1.

Duties to include:
Act as lead teacher
Assist with the recruitment of teachers and build a professional team
Assess the children and the family needs
Create a homeschooling environment for all the children
Plan and provide an age appropriate curriculum following British standards
Arrange schedules/timetables
Mentor and support the team
Provide age appropriate classes and activities
Provide regular reports on the children’s progress
Work closely with other household staff

The youngest children are aged 3 (triplets) and the oldest child is age 6. The children currently attend an English speaking Montessori kindergarten and have a good grasp of the English language.  The children will in the future attend an independent school in the UK or Canada.

This is a live out position with separate accommodation provided.
