A Russian family residing in Barnaul is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and active Governess to assist in the educational development of their teenage daughter.

As a Governess, your main focus will be on the girl’s education, providing 1-2-1 classes on all core topics and promoting learning at every opportunity. You will become a role model for the girl, encouraging her to become more independent and mentoring her in daily life.

The teenager has an intermediate level of the English language but lacks vocabulary, the parents would like the Governess to immerse the teenager in English on a daily basis in different scenarios, going to the theatre, the park, sporting event, etc. The family would like her to become more confident within herself and her studies.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher (MA/QTS/PGCE) and have at least 3 years of experience working with students of a similar age.

This is a live-in or live-out position, the family are happy to provide a private bedroom within the family home or an external apartment.

International travel could be required.

The working schedule is 5 days on with two days off. The days off will vary each week, but the family are willing to be flexible regarding the candidate’s schedule.

The position will start in September 2019 and will finish on the 15th-20th of May 2020.
