A British family residing in Manhatten, New York is seeking an energetic, caring, passionate, committed and flexible Nanny to provide full care duties to their young son.

As a Nanny, you will be responsible for meeting the daily needs of the child; providing a high standard of care within a nurturing environment, following an already established routine and schedule, ensuring he is reaching all age-appropriate milestones, creating fun playful activities in which he can learn and thrive. Additional duties will include preparing meals, running errands, assisting with cleanliness, organisation of the child’s belongings and generally being hands-on to assist the family. Both parents are working parents.

The family have limited family support in the country so they are seeking a candidate who is friendly, caring, flexible and willing to become part of the family. The family also has a family dog who will join you on a walk each day with the baby.

The ideal candidate will hold relevant childcare qualifications (minimum Level 3), knowledge of early years and child development, be confident, sociable, loving, have previous experience of working in private households and be committed to the role providing stability to the young boy.  The family would be happy to consider candidates who can offer Spanish as a second language.

The family resides in the upper west side of Manhatten and would like a candidate to be familiar with this area. They also have a family home in Southampton.

The working schedule will be 5 days per week, working Monday to Friday from 6.30 am — 6 pm with the flexibility to provide overnight care if and when required.

The family often spend their weekends in Southampton and departs on a Thursday evening. You may be required to travel with them to Southhampton on a Thursday and return on a Friday or remain in New York and assist with general cleanliness and organisation at the home on. Flexibility will be required.

The family would like one full weekend per month worked with them at their home in Southampton.

This is a live-out position and suitable for candidates already located in the city. There may be a possibility of Live-in for the right candidate.

The salary on offer is $1200 — $1500 per week.
