Part-time English-speaking Governor required for G10, B9 & B7, located on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia. Salary 30.000 RUB – 32.000 RUB per day (weekend schedule + travel and school holiday assistance). Start ASAP.
This role requires weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays, working up to 10 hours per day from approximately 10 am. Candidates must be willing to travel with the family, with additional days and hours required during travel periods and school holidays. Extra pay will be provided for these additional hours.
A high-profile family based in Moscow is looking for a qualified and experienced English-speaking Governor for their 3 children G10, B9 & B7, to assist in their learning and development.
As a Governor, you will be required to immerse the children in the English language through structured games, activities, and play. You will be responsible for meeting the daily needs of the children with routines and offering learning at every opportunity. The educational focus will be to develop and improve their communication skills in English. You will also escort them during walks and to extracurricular activities, promote good behaviour, teach etiquette, and be a positive role model. In addition, you will be expected to liaise with parents, tutors, and other members of staff to ensure the children’s needs are being met.
The children are active and energetic; they enjoy music, sports (Football and Judo), and chess.
The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, TESOL, QTS) and previous experience working with this age range. The candidate will be an enthusiastic, fun, friendly, and flexible teacher who can engage the children in a fun and relaxed manner. The candidate will become a friend to the children, share their love of sports and other interests, and build a trusting relationship with them. The household is fully staffed.
The children attend a Russian school from 8 am — 6 pm, daily, therefore, classes & activities are required to take place during the weekends, working up to 10 hours per day from about 10 am. Additional hours may be requested in the evening.
Travel with the family during the holidays will be required and paid for additionally.
The family is located on the outskirts of Moscow (Gorki 2). The family will cover taxi costs from the nearest metro station.
This is a live-out position with no accommodation provided.
This role is suitable for candidates who are already based in Moscow.
The salary on offer is 30.000 RUB – 32.000 RUB per day and is negotiable depending on the skills and qualifications of the candidate.
